Roofer - Level 2 – Apprenticeship
Location: Thanet
Hours: 40 (including time at college)
Salary: 16yrs – 17yrs: £7.71 ph
Over 18yrs: £10.71ph
Over 21yrs: £12.21ph
Tools, Chromebook and uniform will be provided

The NVQ L2 Roofer apprenticeship programme will take up to 24 months to complete.

What does a life as Roofer look like?
As an apprentice roofer working with your team, you will be involved in a variety of tasks to gain hands-on experience and develop your skills. your day-to-day responsibilities will include performing routine maintenance and repairs on pitched and flat roofs, completing full renewals of flat roofs by removing old materials, preparing surfaces, and installing new roofing systems. You will also work on installing and repairing pitched roofs, fitting tiles, slates, and other roofing materials, as well as installing underlay and battens to provide a secure base for tiles and slates. Adhering to health and safety guidelines, including working at heights and using appropriate safety equipment, will be crucial. Additionally, you will handle materials by selecting, preparing, and transporting them to and from job sites, and interact with customers to understand their needs and provide updates on the progress of roofing projects. This hands-on experience will help you develop a strong foundation in roofing techniques and prepare you for a successful career in the industry.
