About the role:
As a Decorator you will undertake a variety of internal and external painting tasks across residential properties. Internal works will involve thorough preparation and application of emulsion and gloss finishes to ceilings and walls, with particular focus on kitchens and bathrooms. Tasks will include glossing of woodwork such as doors, door frames, skirting boards, and architraves to a high standard. The successful candidates will primarily support void property refurbishments and response maintenance jobs, ensuring properties are returned to a lettable or liveable condition efficiently and professionally. Externally, painters will be expected to carry out work at height using ladders to prepare and paint fascia boards, soffits, and other timber elements, ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards. This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a wider maintenance team.
Key Criteria;
• UK Full driving licence
• Provide own hand tools
• Ability to work at heights
• Previous experience as a decorator and experience in wall papering

To drive a Mears vehicle, you must be aged over 21 have held your licence over 3 months and have less than 9 points.
