Document Controller

Dartford, Full Time, Permanent

42.5 hours Per week 8-5 Mon-Friday

About the Role:

We’re seeking a highly organised Document Controller to support our projects and ensure full compliance with the Building Safety Regulator (BSR) requirements. You’ll manage all project documentation, maintain accurate records, and play a key role in supporting our Golden Thread obligations under the Building Safety Act. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a structured environment and understands the importance of safety, traceability, and regulatory compliance.

  • Maintain and update document control systems, registers, and databases
  • Ensure all documentation meets company, industry, and BSR standards
  • Manage the flow of documents between internal teams, clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies
  • Support the creation and maintenance of the Golden Thread of information
  • Track, file, and distribute technical drawings, reports, certificates, and correspondence
  • Ensure accurate version control and audit trails for all safety critical documents
  • Assist with preparing documentation for BSR submissions, gateways, and inspections
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with the Building Safety Act and internal procedures
  • Provide training and support to staff on document control and BSR related processes

Role Criteria:

  • Previous experience as a Document Controller or similar role
  • Strong understanding of document control processes and regulatory compliance
  • Knowledge of the Building Safety Act, BSR requirements, and Golden Thread principles (desirable)
  • Proficiency with document management systems (e.g., Viewpoint)
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders
