Location: Maidstone– Travel is required across Kent
Salary: £34,753.95 per annum, plus company van & fuel card
Contract: Full time - Permanent – 42.5hrs per week
Kent and Medway Mental Health Trust (kmmh) provide a full range of in-patient and out-patient mental health services across Kent & Medway operating across numerous sites it includes services for adults and children, forensic & specialist services and acute services. The Trust has a diverse property portfolio of around 68 sites with an approximate total GIA of. 70,000sq, spread across Kent and Medway, which provide 24-7 365-day patient services.
Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust (KCHFT) employs around 5700 staff made up of community nurses, physiotherapists, dieticians, podiatrists, dental staff and many other health care professionals and corporate services. The Trust is one of the largest community health providers in England, serving a population of approximately 1.4 million people across Kent, East Sussex and parts of London Boroughs. This Trust has 33 sites included in the contract.
About the Role:
As a Multi Skilled Operative within the Maidstone branch, you will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of property maintenance duties across NHS sites. This will include general repairs, minor plumbing, carpentry and other multi-trade works.
You will be part of a local team delivering high-quality maintenance, repair, and refurbishment services to NHS buildings, ensuring excellent customer service and compliance with all safety, quality, and cost control standards.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong time management and organisational skills, a proactive approach to work, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Role Criteria
NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in a core trade
Ability to undertake works including carpentry and joinery, plastering, and plumbing
Experience across additional trade disciplines
Ability to understand and follow standard operating procedures
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to participate in an out-of-hours (OOH) rota
Full UK driving license
