All our Apprentices are paid the National Apprentice minimum wage, and you will be paid for your normal working hours plus your attendance at college with the opportunity to get real life experiences, such as working in people’s homes, getting involved in community projects and improving people’s lives by being customer focused.
What does a role as a Bricklayer look like:
Bricklaying is a core function within the construction sector especially in house building and refurbishments. As a Bricklayer you will have to learn to lay bricks, blocks, and other types of building components in mortar to construct and repair walls, foundations, partitions, arches, and other structures e.g., chimney stacks. You might also refurbish brickwork and masonry as well as seal foundations with damp resistant materials.

Mears Careers National Apprenticeship Scheme is designed to empower and challenge you; you will be trusted with real work and responsibility from the outset. During your apprenticeship you will have a fantastic opportunity to earn while you learn and will receive formal training coupled with working alongside our skilled workforce who will inspire and train you in the practical elements of the trade.
The Bricklaying apprenticeship programme will take 4 years to complete.
