Salary: £33,174.23

Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time Hours

42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

About the Role

We are seeking a dependable driver to join our voids disrepairs team. This is a hands-on role requiring a mix of practical ability, customer service, and teamwork. You’ll be responsible for a wide range of tasks that help maintain our properties to a high standard.

Role Responsibilities

• Collection and delivery of goods throughout the Borough
• Supporting the wider team with clearances
• Carrying out electric and gas top-ups
• Meeting suppliers and contractors on site when required
• Replacing light bulbs and checking smoke alarms, demonstrating a proactive approach and commitment to safety standards
• Installation of key safes
• Working collaboratively with the Voids, Disrepair, Repairs and Maintenance teams

Role Criteria:

• Strong teamwork skills and a reliable approach to work
• Ability to deliver excellent customer service, maintaining a professional and customer-focused attitude
• Effective communication skills, including written, verbal and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to make decisions and solve problems independently, showing confidence and initiative
• A methodical and dependable approach, with a focus on safety, quality and cost control
• Full UK driving licence required

To drive a Mears vehicle, you must be aged over 21 have held your licence over 3 months and have less than 9 points.
