Full time – Permanent, 40hrs per week, Monday to Friday
We currently deliver over 25 Planned Works Contracts, providing high-quality housing maintenance solutions across the UK. With 30 years of delivering market-leading repairs, refurbishment, fire safety and building maintenance services, Mears is trusted to deliver more than 6,000 housing repairs daily to more than 1,000,000 homes nationwide. We provide tailored rapid-response and planned housing maintenance services to meet the needs of over 70 local authorities, Arm’s Length Management Organisations and Housing Associations partners.
About the Role:
Due to a contract win and expansion we are looking for an experienced Electrician to join our team in Glasgow. The main role will be to carry out a range of electrical work to our clients housing stock to ensure that electrical Installations which are worked on are safe for continued use to safeguard the service users, members of the public, clients personnel and Mears employees from any potential danger associated with electricity. The role is working within our social housing, working alongside other teams members to complete minor repairs to full repairs on kitchen and rewiring.
Role Criteria:
All our roles require candidates to have the entitlement to work within the UK, Mears does not currently offer visa sponsorship.
Candidates should be aware that all our roles are subject to relevant DBS/Security checks before commencement of employment.
To drive a Mears vehicle, you must be aged over 21 have held your licence over 3 months and have less than 9 points.
