Electrician

Coatbridge
Salary: Up to £35,232.84, plus Company Vehicle and Great Company Benefits.
Full Time, Permanent role 40 hours per week; Monday to Friday 08.00-16.30

About the Role:

Due to Internal Progression, we are looking for an Electrician to join our team on the Commercial works!

You will be required to visit all council owned properties such as; Community buildings, libraries, schools and community centres to complete any work that is required.  

The work of an Electrician is varied and can include the following:

  • To Install, repair, renew, test and maintain electrical installations as required, meeting all legislative requirements
  • Inspect, test and issue certification for all electrical installations and repairs
  • Carry out fault diagnosis on site
  • Prepare sites for safe working
  • Keep up to date with required trade qualifications
  • Report all non-electrical faults to the Line Manager
  • Keep records of work undertaken, including maintenance & repairs work
  • Comply with H&S policies and procedures and carry out on site risk assessments for jobs undertaken

Role Criteria:

  • NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation
  • City & Guilds 18th Edition
  • Inspection and Testing 2391/2 or equivalent (Beneficial not necessity)

It would be advantageous to have worked in domestic and or social housing previously.

All our roles require candidates to have the entitlement to work within the UK, Mears does not currently offer visa sponsorship.

To drive a Mears vehicle, you must be aged over 21 have held your licence over 3 months and have less than 9 points.

Candidates should be aware that all our roles are subject to relevant DBS/Security checks before commencement of employment.
