Annual salary: up to £50,000.00

Gas Qualifying Supervisor

Location: Maidstone (Turkey Mill)
Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum, plus company vehicle and fuel card
Contract Type: Full time – Permanent, 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

This role operates across two Kent and Medway NHS Trusts, covering mental health services and community healthcare. You will be supporting a varied estate of over 120 sites that provide round-the-clock patient care. These range from large commercial building (Hospitals, community clinics and secure units) to offices spaces, and catering areas.

About the Role:
You will be responsible for carrying out a range duties which include auditing sub-contractors and gas operatives to ensure compliance with current standards and life cycle replacement planning. Including gas servicing, repair works, breakdowns and installations across our client sites, ensuring that all gas appliances and installations worked on are safe for continued use.

You will help safeguard service users, members of the public, staff and employees by ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with relevant gas safety regulations. You will take a proactive approach to safety and be able to liaise with different stakeholders at all levels, with a customer centric approach to problem solving.

Training on maintaining current industry standards will be provided to further enhance your career.

Role Criteria:

  • Proven experience as a Commercial Gas Engineer
  • Proven experience with auditing works, quality control and logging audit data using in house IT systems.
  • Domestic and Commercial Gas ACS qualifications
  • CCN1, COCN1, CIGA1, ICPN1, TPCP1/TPCP1A certifications
  • Good knowledge of construction site safety
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

  • LPG PD and G3 qualifications

  • SFG & HTM compliance standards.

  • Understanding of HVAC appliances/systems would be a benefit to the role. (willing to provide further training in this area)

To drive a Mears vehicle, you must be aged over 21 have held your licence over 3 months and have less than 9 points.
