Permanent role, working Monday to Friday 09:00 – 16:30, 35hrs a week

Are you an organised, friendly, and proactive individual with a passion for providing exceptional front-of-house service? Due to demand, we are looking for a Receptionist to join our busy team at Gloucester Head Office. This is a varied role offering the opportunity to support multiple departments and be the face of our company.
About the Role:
As the first point of contact for visitors and callers, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and professional environment. You will be responsible for the smooth running of reception and provide key administrative support to teams across the business.
Your daily tasks will include, but are not limited to:
Opening and distributing incoming post to relevant departments
Answering and redirecting telephone enquiries professionally
Greeting visitors and ensuring they are signed in and comfortable
Managing meeting room bookings and notifying staff of visitor arrivals
Franking and sending outgoing mail and arranging parcel collections/deliveries via DPD
Ordering and maintaining stock levels of stationery and kitchen supplies
Performing daily cleaning of the office coffee machine
Supporting the Fleet and Procurement teams by managing ServiceNow tickets and general enquiries
Assisting with scanning and document handling for the Central Finance team
Providing overflow support to other departments as required
Completing ad hoc administrative tasks as and when required
We are seeking someone who is personable, punctual, and efficient, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks in a busy office setting.
All our roles require candidates to have the entitlement to work within the UK, Mears- does not currently offer visa sponsorship.
Candidates should be aware that all our roles are subject to relevant DBS/Security checks before commencement of employment.
Key Criteria:
Confident use of general office equipment and basic administrative skills
IT literate, with good communication skills
Experience working in a confidential environment
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Previous experience in a customer service role
