Senior Commercial Manager
Location: Homebased / remote

Salary: £91,500 Annual + Car Allowance
About the Role
This is a critical, responsive role designed to support urgent business needs, with a strong focus on reactive repairs. The position requires agility, precision, and the ability to assess and respond to commercial challenges quickly. The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Lead commercial estimations for new contracts, with particular emphasis on pricing and structuring reactive repair services
- Develop pricing models based on PPP, PPV, and NHF schedules to ensure competitive yet sustainable proposals
- Conduct rapid commercial reviews on existing contracts to identify risks and opportunities in reactive maintenance operations
- Support urgent subcontract procurement workflows, ensuring due diligence and compliance
- Engage in supply chain development, including planning and leading national buyer events
- Present well-structured commercial proposals that align with business objectives and tender opportunities
- Ensure all financial compliance is maintained in accordance with contractual obligations
Role Criteria:
- Estimating new contracts to support the business development team
- Pricing for core business from first principles.
- Priced per property (PPP) priced per void (PPV)
- National Housing Federation schedule of rates (NHF)
- Lead on Commercial Review process on current Contracts
- Support CD on Subcontract Procurement Workflow- Due diligence on Contact procurement
- Support CD on Supply Chain Development and Meet the Buyer Events nationally
- Support CD to develop new business models to support new business initiatives.
- Maintain Compliance matters in line with legal terms and conditions.
- Identify and present Commercial Risks and Opportunities
- Deliver long term profitable commercial proposals for SMT Adjudication
- Provide Commercial Support to FM, Care and Housing Management as and when necessary
Expectations of the Position
- Ability to react swiftly to commercial challenges and changing business needs
- Collaborating closely with business development teams and senior leadership
- Deep commercial expertise—in PPP, PPV, NHF pricing structures and contract negotiation
- Capable of developing cost models from first principles with an Analytical and solution-oriented mindset
- Delivering proposals that align with long-term business objectives
Requirements
- Proven track record in commercial management and estimating, with experience in the property services sector, specifically reactive repairs
- Strong commercial knowledge of PPP, PPV, and NHF (all versions)
- Ability to develop and present accurate proposals from first principles
- Full driving licence required
Team & Working Structure
- Field-based role with close collaboration across Business Development (18-20 members)
- Commercial team includes 5 members, led by the Hiring Manager
