Full Time Permanent

Salary up to £39,627 per annum, plus, company van & fuel card

42.5 hours per week (8-5 Monday -Friday) & overtime is available

We are the largest provider of repairs and maintenance, and regeneration services across the UK. Mears provide tailored rapid-response and planned maintenance services through partnering arrangements with more than 70 local authorities, Arm’s Length Management Organisations and Housing Associations.

A Multi Skilled Operative within our Tower Hamlets branch will carry out several multi trade repairs and refurbishments at our social housing properties, whilst delivering best in class customer service and satisfying all safety, quality, and cost control standards.

Day to day duties: 

• Responsible for – 1st & 2nd fitting in carpentry, plumbing works, walls & floor tiling, patch plastering, over hauling of windows and doors, lock renewals, and painting and decorating.
• Providing high levels of customer care at all times

Role Criteria:

• NVQ Level 3 in Carpentry
• Experience in tiling, plastering, plumbing, and decorating
• Experience within repairs & maintenance
• Worked within social housing sector
• UK full driving license

All our roles require candidates to have the entitlement to work within the UK, Mears does not currently offer visa sponsorship.
 

To drive a Mears vehicle, you must be aged over 21 have held your licence over 3 months and have less than 9 points.
 

Candidates should be aware that all our roles are subject to relevant DBS/Security checks before commencement of employment.
