Supervisor

Location: London- Kensal Road

Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent (42.5 hours per week)

Salary: £44,232 per annum + company van, fuel card, and benefits package

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong operational oversight, excellent communication, and a commitment to service excellence. You’ll manage trades and subcontractors, carry out inspections, and ensure compliance with company procedures and industry regulations.

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage damp and mould inspections, investigations, and remedial works
  • Supervise in-house operatives and external contractors to ensure quality and value for money
  • Diagnose root causes of damp, mould, and condensation and specify appropriate remedial actions
  • Ensure works are completed in line with current legislation, building regulations, and best practice
  • Monitor performance, productivity, and compliance against KPIs and service standards
  • Act as a technical lead, providing guidance and support to teams and colleagues
  • Manage complex and escalated cases, including resident complaints
  • Ensure accurate record keeping, reporting, and audit trails
  • Promote a strong health & safety culture across all works
  • Liaise with residents, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure clear communication and customer satisfaction

Role Criteria

  • Proven experience in damp and mould diagnosis and remediation
  • Good understanding of Awaabs Law and its application
  • Experience supervising repairs or maintenance teams
  • Strong knowledge of housing repairs, building pathology, and compliance
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities effectively
  • IT literacy (housing management/repairs systems desirable)
  • Full UK driving licence

To drive a Mears vehicle, you must be aged over 21 have held your licence over 3 months and have less than 9 points.
