Asset, Data and Insight Team Leader
Milton Keynes
Full time paying a salary of up to £35,500
We are looking for a driven and motivational Team Leader to lead and manage a high-performing team within our Housing Maintenance Contracts. This leadership role is pivotal in ensuring commercial and operational performance is delivered in line with contractual obligations, KPIs, and service excellence standards.
You will take ownership of a talented team of Asset, Data and Insight professionals, guiding them to deliver accurate reporting, insightful analysis, and measurable outcomes that drive continuous improvement across 35 branches.
Mears provides and manages 17,000 homes for local and central Government and are also responsible for keeping 750,000 social housing homes in the UK in good repair.
This year Milton Keynes City Council (MKCC) have awarded Mears Group the new Housing Repairs and Maintenance Works and Services contract for five years.
Over the past nine years, our colleagues in Milton Keynes have provided an excellent service to customers living in 11,000 MKCC properties, this new contract award is a testament of the great work already happening at Mears.
About the role:
Leading, motivating and managing a team to deliver on contractual KPIs and operational performance.
Delegating effectively to ensure work is completed correctly, on time, and to the highest standard.
Overseeing audits and post-inspection reviews across multiple branches, liaising with managers and stakeholders.
Managing the production of operational and health & safety data packs, transforming raw data into actionable insights for senior leaders.
Analysing complex data sets to provide meaningful recommendations and drive performance improvements.
Supporting commercial projects and improvement initiatives.
Ensuring compliance with Mears systems (Contract Management & Subcontractor Portal) to manage WIP, cost control, invoicing, and KPIs.
Building strong partnerships with landlords, contractors, suppliers, and third parties to support effective service delivery.
Creating a positive culture within the team built on ownership, accountability, recognition, and continuous improvement.

Key Criteria:
Educated to high level standard
Experience of managing people and creating high-performing teams.
Strong understanding of excellent customer service.
Knowledge of KPIs, target setting, and performance management.
Ability to handle complaints and resolve issues effectively.
Commitment to Equality, Diversity & Inclusion.
Experience in contract/business management or property management.
Commercial acumen and ability to deliver operational targets.
Knowledge of auditing and continuous improvement practices.
Experience working with diverse client groups.
