With 30 years of delivering market-leading repairs, refurbishment, fire safety and building maintenance services, Mears is trusted to deliver in excess of 6,000 housing repairs daily to a portfolio of more than 1,000,000 homes nationwide.
About the role;
As a General Operative you will be carrying out high-standard general repairs and refurbishment works to housing properties. This role involves delivering best-in-class customer service while ensuring all tasks meet strict safety, quality, and cost control standards. A key aspect of the role will involve working in void properties, where duties include thorough cleaning and sanitising to prepare homes for new occupants. This may also involve removing left-behind furniture, appliances, or household waste, and safely transporting all debris and unwanted items to the local tip or designated disposal sites. Attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, hygienic, and presentable environment are essential for success in this position.
All our roles require candidates to have the entitlement to work within the UK, Mears does not currently offer visa sponsorship.
To drive a Mears vehicle, you must be aged over 21 have held your licence over 3 months and have less than 9 points.
