HR Administrator

Gloucester- Office based (with the option of hybrid working on completion of induction and systems training)

Full time Monday to Friday 08:30 - 17:00, offering a salary of £26,000 per annum, plus great company benefits.

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented HR professional to join our team and play a vital role in delivering high-quality support across the employee lifecycle. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in HR administration, who thrives on efficiently triaging employee queries, maintaining accurate records in our HRIS, and ensuring compliance with employment legislation.

You’ll be the first point of contact for HR-related enquiries, using your knowledge of HR policies and employment law to provide clear, timely guidance or escalate issues appropriately. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing HR documentation, updating employee records, supporting onboarding and offboarding processes, and contributing to the smooth operation of our HR systems and processes.

About the Role:

To provide a proactive, customer driven service to HRBP’s Mears Branch Operational Network, Legal Team, Payroll, Pensions, Employees etc, by inputting HR data & associated documents onto HR data base & producing standard documentation and reports in an accurate, consistent and timely manner.

The successful Administrator will have Strong IT Skills, have previous admin experience and be a team player.

Principle Accountabilities:

  • Provide accurate, timely and efficient HR administration
  • Maintain and promote data security, quality and integrity, working within the parameters of confidentiality, within GDPR and Employment law principles at all times
  • Deliver high quality HR service within a high-volume service within agreed HR KPIs and SLAs
  • Identify and raise more complex HR issues to the appropriate person within the wider HR Team
  • Utilised and record all task requests via Service Now to assist in effective processing across the team and allow for escalation where appropriate
  • Produce and issues accurate standard documentation including contracts of employment, changes of terms and conditions, payroll instructions etc.
  • Build, develop and maintain effective relationships with internal customers across all of the business
  • Work with HR colleagues and other business functions to ensure effective HR Administration tasks are completed for effective service delivery

Role Criteria:

  • Proven experience of working within a fast paced, high volume operational administration environment
  • Familiar with working in confidential environment
  • CIPD level 3 or willingness to work towards
  • HR Administration experience
  • Ability to communicate at all levels with people from varying backgrounds both orally and in writing.
  • Strong IT skills
  • Ability to manage multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines
  • Excellent customer service skills – experience working with and providing a service to internal and external customers; strong verbal communications skills; ability to work to tight deadlines; a proactive approach to resolving problems and queries.
  • Ability to use initiative to resolve issues and identify and develop a solution based outcome.
  • A team player
