With 30 years of delivering market-leading repairs, refurbishment, fire safety and building maintenance services, Mears is trusted to deliver in excess of 6,000 housing repairs daily to a portfolio of more than 1,000,000 homes nationwide.
About the role:
As a multi-skilled operative, you will be responsible for a range of tasks including cleaning, carpentry, ground works, fencing, tiling, splash back boarding in bathrooms, plumbing, and plastering. Your role will involve working in void properties to remove old flooring and lay new flooring, as well as completing carpentry tasks such as fitting doors, windows, skirting, and units, including kitchen and bathroom fittings. You will also handle plumbing tasks, particularly in bathrooms, and perform outdoor groundwork. With a certified core trade, you will support repair and refurbishment works, ensuring high standards and timely completion. You will adhere to strict Health & Safety requirements. Additionally, you will process tasks electronically using a PDA, manage company assets, and maintain stock control. Your versatility and commitment to excellence will be key to delivering quality service and customer satisfaction.
