Senior Advisor - Energy Team - Fixed Term Contract 9 months.

About us:

Mears works under contract for Central Government, providing accommodation to Keyworkers, nationwide. The accommodation, let from the private rental sector, is made available to our service users, with the end to end service provided by the team ranging from application and allocation through to move out.

About the Role

As a Senior Advisor in the newly formed Energy Team, you will be responsible for the successful transfer of all accounts to a single supplier. Working closely with the Operations Manager you will take responsibility for developing the team, processes and relationships required to ensure our service users are supported with a proactive and effective approach to resolution of associated issues.

The success of the project will be measured by the percentage of the portfolio transferred, the increase in SMART meters and our ability to reduce the impact on our Service Users.

Managing caseloads and supporting a team of 2 coordinators and an administrator, the Senior will provide data and reporting to Management and the Client.

We are looking for self starter who enjoys taking ownership and accountability and has the ability to motivate their team and colleagues to achieve defined common objectives this could be the project and role for you!

Key Criteria

  • Experience in property or energy sector is advantageous as is team or project management.
  • Analytical and results driven with the ability to manage relationships and influence positive outcomes.
  • Customer focused with excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft packages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • First Point of Escalation: Serve as the first point of contact for complex or high-level issues escalated by team members, providing expert guidance and resolution strategies.
  • Team Support & Mentorship: Act as a sounding board for team members, offering reassurance, professional insight, and support in handling difficult situations.
  • Client Engagement: Ensure occupants and landlords feel acknowledged, respected, and supported by a senior representative; build trust through professional communication and follow-up.
  • Supplier Management: Build and Maintain excellent working relationships with our Suppliers
  • Reporting & Analysis: Generate and analyse daily, weekly, and monthly reports , offering insights on team performance, service quality, and operational trends.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement across customer service workflows and property operations, making recommendations for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Compliance & Best Practice: Monitor adherence to legal, safety, and company policies; ensure team members follow established procedures and protocols.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with contractors, landlords, residents, and service providers to support smooth property operations and high levels of satisfaction.
