Water Service Supervisor

Coatbridge- With travel where required to clients and subcontractors.

Full time - Permanent – 40hrs per week, offering a salary of £41,128.14 per annum, plus a company vehicle or Car Allowance of £4000 and great company benefits!

The successful Water Service Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the delivery of plumbing repairs, planned maintenance, and water hygiene compliance (including legionella control) across domestic housing (low-rise and towers communal areas), public facilities (e.g. schools, leisure centres), and corporate properties. The postholder will also oversee and support the management of sprinkler systems, ensuring high standards of service delivery, safety, and regulatory compliance are achieved and maintained.

Ensuring all work and procedures are being undertaken efficiently, in compliance with company operating procedures and delivering best in class customer service, whilst satisfying all safety, quality and cost control standards.

About the Role:

You will be responsible for the operational supervision of current and future contract activities and the delivery of responsive and planned plumbing works within residential towers and low-rise housing communal areas and public facilities, ensuring systems such as hot and cold water storage, booster sets, pumps, and sanitary appliances are maintained and repaired effectively.

You will ensure to Implement and oversee legionella risk control measures in accordance with ACoP L8 and HSG274, this will be done by supervising the team carrying out tasks such as flushing regimes, temperature monitoring, tank inspections, TMV servicing, and disinfection works ensuring all necessary remedial works are undertaken.

Maintaining electronic records and ensure compliance with audit requirements and flag and escalate high-risk findings or non-conformances in water systems.

It will be your responsibility to lead a team of plumbers, water technicians and/or manage external water hygiene contractors, allocating tasks, monitor performance, and carry out on-site quality inspections.

Finally, you will be required to prepare and review RAMS for plumbing and water hygiene works.

Ensuring adherence to safety procedures around confined spaces, working at height, and pressure systems are adhered to.

Role Criteria:

  •  City & Guilds or equivalent in a trade discipline.
  • Legionella Responsible Person
  • Experience managing water systems in both residential and public sector environments
  • Strong understanding of water regulations, ACoP L8, and HSG274
  • Excellent communication
  • People management with the ability to lead & mentor others
  • Ability to negotiate and influence others
  • Strong customer focus
  • IT literate
  • Full UK driving license

Previous supervisory experience would be preferable but not essential.
