Visiting Officer

Full Time Permanent role at our scheme in Bristol

Paying an annual salary of £27.248.00

Due to our long standing current Visiting officer of 10 years moving on, we are looking for a Visiting Officer to join our team, you will contribute to the day to day operation and growth of the branch in order to maintain and monitor the quality of the services provided to our service users.

As a Visiting Officer, you will be responsible for providing a consistent, timely, high-quality visiting and worker and/or service user assessment service which meet the needs of the business.

Your main responsibility will be to create, monitor and review care plans by visiting our service users on a regular basis, completing review of their needs and requirements.

You will complete audits regularly and these will include financial, medication and communication audits.

About the role:

You will be responsible for completing and maintaining all paper & electronic records in an accurate, concise and timely manner to ensure regulatory compliance, and an accurate history is available for audit, provide and maintain written reports of all complaints.

Whilst visiting our service users and understanding their needs you will prepare, maintain and review individual support plans and risk assessments and personalised care plans.

Organise and participate in formal on-site observations of competency and spot checks and informal staff meetings, training sessions and quality reviews.

The successful Visiting Officer must be professional when working with service users and/or client/external contacts to build and maintain a positive view of Mears Group.

Identify and report any safeguarding concerns to the relevant persons as early as possible, in accordance with protection of vulnerable adults and safeguarding policy and regulatory requirements so the appropriate action can be taken. 

There will be an on call rota that you will be included in, this will consist of every other weekend. When on call and working a weekend, you can have 2 days off in the week. On call payment on top of that around £50 a weekend.

Role Criteria:

  • NVQ 3 or NVQ 2 and willing to work towards completing your NVQ 3

  • Previous experience of working in a hands-on operational role.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in dealing with highly sensitive and confidential information.

  • Ability to influence attitudes and opinions of others and gain agreement.

  • A passionate and driven approach to providing excellent operational support and guidance.

  • On Call Rota
