Carpenter/Joiner

Sedgefield - Spennymoor

Permanent – Full Time

Monday to Saturday  42.5 hours per week, which would be worked on a rota basis between the hours of 8am - 8pm Monday - Friday. You would also work two Saturdays per month, 8am-4pm.

What we are looking for:

Join our dedicated team of professionals specializing in high-standard general repairs, damp and mould remediation, and comprehensive refurbishment activities for housing properties. We pride ourselves on delivering best-in-class customer service while adhering to the highest safety, quality, and cost control standards.

You will be working in our tenanted properties, as well as the commercial and communal areas, under our Livin contract. Your tasks will include installing or repairing doors, windows, skirting boards, fencing, and much more. It would be advantageous for candidates to have experience in repairs or installations of garage doors. Join us to make a tangible difference in the community by ensuring our properties are safe and well-maintained.

If you are successful in this role, you will form part of a busy repairs and maintenance team where you will carrying out all aspect of plumbing work on domestic properties. As part of the contract, Mears have committed to offering an extended hours service to ensure that our service delivery is first class. This means that we would require you to work 42.5 hours per week, which would be worked on a rota basis between the hours of 8am - 8pm Monday - Friday. You would also work two Saturdays per month, 8am-4pm.

Key Criteria:

  • Trade qualification in carpentry or joinery
  • UK full driving licence
  • Manual Handling
  • Previous experience in repair and maintenance on tenanted properties
  • Ability to repair or install Windows, Doors, Fences, Skirting boards.
