With 30 years of delivering market-leading repairs, refurbishment, fire safety and building maintenance services, Mears is trusted to deliver in excess of 6,000 housing repairs daily to a portfolio of more than 1,000,000 homes nationwide.
Our Dover contract provide the repairs and maintenance service in approx. 4,500 Dover District Council properties, Services provided: Responsive repairs, Voids, Disabled adaptations, External and major work and Kitchens and bathroom refurbishments.
About the Role:
As a Multi Skilled Operative, this is a hands-on role working primarily on planned kitchen and bathroom refurbishments within tenanted properties, with occasional work on void properties.
You will be part of a local, dedicated team carrying out high-quality repairs and refurbishment tasks to our housing stock. The ideal candidate will bring experience and competence in a range of trades, including plumbing, carpentry, flooring, and plastering. You will be expected to deliver excellent customer service, working efficiently and safely while meeting all relevant quality and cost control standards.
Role Criteria:
NVQ Level 2 in plumbing or extensive first-hand experience
Hands on experience in multiple trades such as Carpentry & Joinery, Plastering and Floor laying
Hold a full, Clean UK manual Driving Licence
Be a great team player as well possess the ability to work well under your own initiative
Excellent Communication and Customer service skills
