Plumber

Tannochside

Salary £34,000 per annum plus commercial vehicle and fuel card

Full time – Permanent, 40hrs per week, Monday to Friday

About the Role:

We are looking for a Plumber to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a multi disciplined team of operatives, providing reactive maintenance repair within social housing properties. You will be a part of a local team carrying out high-quality plumbing repairs and refurbishment activities to our housing properties, while delivering best-in-class customer service and meeting all safety, quality, and cost control standards.

Day-to-day Duties:

  • Carry out a range of reactive repairs to a high standard in a timely manner.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to tenants and residents.
  • Process all tasks electronically using a handheld device (PDA).
  • Maintain all company-supplied assets in good condition in line with company policies. Report any damages to your supervisor or Manager.
  • Manage materials effectively by using existing stock or collecting required items from the merchants.

Role Criteria:

  • Experience working in social housing
  • Good communication skills
  • City & Guilds or equivalent in Plumbing trade discipline.
  • IT Literate – For PDA Use
  • Previous experience in a plumbing trade environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK driving licence

Candidates should be aware that all our roles are subject to relevant DBS/Security checks before commencement of employment.

All our roles require candidates to have the entitlement to work within the UK, Mears does not currently offer visa sponsorship.

To drive a Mears vehicle, you must be aged over 21 have held your licence over 3 months and have less than 9 points.
